About Our Church...
The Mission of Rocky Point Baptist Church:
The focus of the ministry at Rocky Point Baptist Church is to glorify God by fulfilling the mission the Lord gave His followers to make disciples, baptize the disciples, and teach them to follow His ways (Matthew 28:19-20).
Rocky Point Baptist Church offers an array of opportunities for every disciple to grow in relationship to Jesus Christ and connect with others. These opportunities include weekend worship services and church-wide special events, as well as a variety of adult, high school, middle school, and children's ministries involving Awana, Small Groups, and fellowship activities.

The Four Pillars of Rocky Point Baptist Church:
1. Proclaiming the authority of the Bible without apology
"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." 2 Timothy 4:2
2. Lifting high the name of Christ through worship
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:24
3. Believing firmly in the power of prayer
"Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints." Ephesians 6:18
4. Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness
"And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." Ephesians 6:19-20

Our Process of Sanctification and Maturity
We believe disciples worship Christ, walk with Christ, and work for Christ. A person committed to a relationship with Jesus Christ focuses on personally walking with Him, worshiping Him, and working for Him. That person will experience significant growth in personal sanctification and therefore will experience a closer personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and will become "mature in Christ" (Colossians 1:28).
We are committed to multiplying the godly characteristics of leaders' lives into others (2 Timothy 2:2). This multiplication of ministry is key to the healthy growth of the church.
We believe the disciples of Jesus Christ should minister to one another in the local church, rather than one or a small number of professional pastors bearing total responsibility to care for the entire congregation. God has given spiritual gifts to all of His people to provide mutual ministry in the context of the healthy and strong local church (Ephesians 4:11-12).
