AWANA
AWANA is an organization with clubs in all 50 States and in over 100 Countries...and still growing! Today, there are more than 10,000 churches worldwide using the AWANA program to reach boys and girls with the Good News in Jesus.
At the Point we use this wonderful tool for the kids in our church and as an OUTREACH tool for kids in the community. And AWANA works!
AWANA works because scripture memorization becomes fun and verses are geared to the needs of specific age and grade groups. Kids learn from and with their friends.
AWANA works because kids also apply the verses they learn in sports activities. True competition develops character and sportsmanship and allows the kids to be trained in Godly relationships with friends and mentoring adults.Ultimately our goal is to lead these kids into a saving relationship with their creator Jesus Christ.
Our AWANA kids meet during the regular school year every Wednesday Night @ 7:00pm. Whether you are a kid or an adult that would like to get involved, we ecncourage you to come check us out!
